Mac's Honey

In the heart of South Africa, where the golden landscapes stretch far and wide, Mac’s Honey embarked on a sweet journey that intertwined with the legacy of Kerston Foods. With humble beginnings dating back to 1945, Mac’s Honey, under the careful stewardship of Mike Mac Intyre, emerged as the oldest label in the country, steeped in the tradition of beekeeping.

As the years unfurled, so did the partnership between Mac’s Honey and Kerston Foods. From the inception of Kerston Foods, they proudly stood as suppliers, providing the rich nectar of honey and an array of honey products. What began as a simple transaction flourished into a robust relationship, one that transcended the conventional supplier-buyer dynamic.

For Mac’s Honey, Kerston Foods was more than a client; it was a valued partner. The growth of their sales mirrored the flourishing bond, expanding a staggering 60-fold over the span of three decades. This wasn’t just about business; it was a testament to the symbiotic nature of their partnership.

When asked about what set Kerston Foods apart from other collaborators, Mac’s Honey pointed to the familial roots of Kerston Foods. Being a family-owned business translated into an open-door policy that proved fruitful for both parties. This openness allowed Mac’s Honey to craft and supply an array of honey products tailored to Kerston Foods’ unique needs.

The narrative of this partnership wasn’t without its standout chapters. As the largest producer of South African honey in the Western Cape, Mac’s Honey found a kindred spirit in Kerston Foods. The demand for real, pure South African honey resonated deeply with Kerston Foods, and Mac’s Honey, as the primary supplier, met these demands consistently over the years.

The growth and longevity of Kerston Foods became a cornerstone of success for Mac’s Honey. The pillars of their business rested, in part, on the unwavering partnership forged over decades. Kerston Foods wasn’t just a buyer; it was a crucial element in the narrative of Mac’s Honey’s prosperity.

Looking toward the horizon, the future held the promise of continued success. The demand for authentic honey, created by the tireless work of bees, was only set to rise. Mac’s Honey and Kerston Foods foresaw a flourishing partnership in the years to come. As custodians of a timeless tradition, they anticipated a sweet continuation of this remarkable relationship, a journey that echoed with the buzz of bees and the richness of South African honey. The story of Mac’s Honey and Kerston Foods was more than a business tale; it was a legacy in the making.
